By using MetadataWipe (“the site” or “the tool”), you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the site.

Free tool, provided as-is

MetadataWipe is offered free of charge for personal and lawful use. The tool is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.

No guarantee of metadata removal

MetadataWipe removes common embedded photo metadata by creating a browser-generated copy of your image. We do not guarantee complete, forensic-grade, or legally sufficient metadata removal. You are responsible for verifying cleaned files before sharing them, especially when privacy or legal stakes are high.

Your content and conduct

Because processing happens locally in your browser, your files are not uploaded to our servers for the V1 tool. You are solely responsible for the images you process and how you use the results. Do not use MetadataWipe to prepare, conceal, or distribute illegal or harmful content. We may restrict access to the site if we believe it is being misused.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, LaPorte Labs and MetadataWipe will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the site or reliance on cleaned images.

Changes

We may update these terms or the tool at any time. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
