Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 27, 2026
MetadataWipe (“we,” “our,” or “the site”) is operated by LaPorte Labs. This policy explains how the MetadataWipe website handles information when you use our browser-based photo metadata remover.
Local processing (V1)
MetadataWipe V1 processes images locally in your web browser. When you use the tool, your image files are not uploaded to our servers for processing, storage, or analysis as part of the core tool functionality.
No accounts
MetadataWipe V1 does not require an account, login, or registration.
What we may collect when you visit the site
Like most websites, our hosting provider may automatically log standard technical data when you load pages (for example, IP address, browser type, referring URL, and request time). We use this only as needed to operate and secure the site.
Analytics and advertising
We use Google Analytics (measurement ID G-Q9R60MVNQ1) on site pages to understand general traffic and how visitors use the website. Google may collect information such as pages viewed, approximate location, device/browser type, and referral source. The photo cleaning tool still processes images locally in your browser; your uploaded images are not sent to our servers for processing.
MetadataWipe does not include third-party advertising in the tool. If we add ads in the future, we will update this policy.
You can learn more about Google’s practices and opt-out options in Google’s Privacy Policy and Google Analytics opt-out.
Your responsibility
MetadataWipe helps remove common embedded photo metadata by creating a browser-generated copy. We do not guarantee forensic-grade removal. You are responsible for verifying cleaned files before sharing, especially in sensitive situations.
